MGM Resorts & BetMGM boost problem gambling support with Kindbridge collaboration

MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have announced a collaboration with Kindbridge, a move that is aimed at increasing problem gambling research and mental health services. 

As part of this, MGM Resorts made a $100,000 donation to the Kindbridge Research Institute. This contribution supports a voluntary medication trial for veterans in Las Vegas experiencing gambling addiction. 

The treatment aims to reduce gambling urges and symptoms among veterans and is conducted in partnership with the Las Vegas Veterans Affairs Residential Recovery and Renewal Center and the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.

Regarding the donation, Stephen Martino, SVP and Chief Compliance Officer at MGM Resorts, commented: "This contribution will help explore and identify innovative treatment for a population our company cares deeply about.

"We have a longstanding commitment to supporting military members and their families year-round and are privileged to invest in research that benefits this important community."

The study is part of Kindbridge Research Institute's 50x4vets program,free online replay poker a multi-year initiative aiming to increase research on gambling disorders in veterans by 50 times in four years.

BetMGM, on the other hand, is expanding its collaboration with Kindbridge Behavioral Health to offer problem gambling referrals in multiple states.
