Liangaddedthatbasedontheconnectivityintermsofpolicycoordination,roadtravel,trade,financialflowsandpeople-to-peopleexchanges,Chinahassteppedupeffortsintheconstructionofahealthy,digital,greenandinnovativeSilkRoad,whichhasfosterednewgrowthpointsforglobaldevelopment.
SebastianKurz,formerFederalChancellorofAustria,expressedhissupportfortheinitiative,sayingthatitisoneofthemostimportantinitiativesintheworldtodayasithasopenedalotofopportunitiesforcooperationbetweenChinaandothercountries.
KurzaddedthattheBRIhasplayedavitalroleinAustria'sgreentransformation,andChinaandtheEuropeancountrieshavelargecooperationpotentialinelectricvehiclesinthefuture.
SekaiIreneNzenza,MinisterofIndustryandCommerceofZimbabwe,alsostressedtheBRI'sroleinhercountry'seconomictransition,addingthatthecountryhasalargepowershortageandreliesmoreonsolarpower,soitneedsinvestmentinsolarandwindpowertoreducecarbonemissions.
Overthepastdecade,Chinahascooperatedwithmorethan100countriesandregionsongreenenergyprojects,andhasinvestedmoreingreenandlow-carbonenergythantraditionalenergyinthecountriesalongtheroute.
